God writes our story.
I am still learning to surrender the pen.

Finally, the news you all (hopefully) have been waiting for...

One of my least favorites things that people do is build up that anticipation...
They just let you sit and guess and guess...
Right now you may be wondering what our announcement is after reading the title.
Are we pregnant? Are we adopting?

Yes, I'm dragging this out. :)
I can't even begin to tell you how long I've waited for this to be 'public knowledge'.
I must admit, other than a few close friends and family, this is the first place I wanted to post the news.

A few short months ago, I had no idea this is where we would be, and for all of you that encouraged and said that there was hope... you were correct.

After quite a lot of prayer, and tears, and discussion, and researching, and more tears...
My husband and I have came across our answer.

I wish I was a little more knowledgeable about these blogs and how they work, because trust me, I would want this next sentence to be in bold, italics, with the little smiley faces doing funny things like hitting their heads with a hammer. Because frankly, this is so exciting to me I swear I could probably do that to myself right now and not feel a thing.

Are you ready?

WALTER AND I ARE BEGINNING THE IVF PROCESS!

We have been approved, done some blood work, and we are on the road to bringing home a beauty baby! I do have hope now! I can pass through the baby section at Target without crying; I can see a mother with her child without turning green with envy; I can encourage others who have lost because I do feel the hope inside of me. As my husband says, "WE'RE PRE-PREGNANT!!!"

IVF can be summed into a few 'steps'
1) Approval for the IVF program (DONE)
2) Testing and Ovulation Preparation (current)
3) Egg Retrieval
4) Embryo Transfer

After testing, I will be on fertility pills for 30 days (throughout the month of February). The next step will be 30 days of injections (throughout the month of March). Injections will be twice a day, like this.

Stay tuned, my lovelies!
