God writes our story.
I am still learning to surrender the pen.

Because you know I HAD to look it up...

Mark your calendar!
Here's when you can expect several key pregnancy milestones to happen.

March 8, 2012 (2 weeks pregnant)
Your baby's conceived
Doctors start counting pregnancy from the first day of your last period, so at conception you're considered 2 weeks along.

May 3, 2012 (10 weeks pregnant)
Your baby's heart beats
At your next prenatal visit, you'll be able to hear your baby's heartbeat for the first time.

June 7, 2012 (15 weeks pregnant)
Your baby sees light
Your baby can see light now (through eyelids that are still fused shut) and may move if you shine a flashlight at your belly.

June 14, 2012 (16 weeks pregnant)
Having a boy or girl?
At your mid-pregnancy ultrasound (typically in the next four weeks), you may be able to find out your baby's sex.

June 28, 2012 (18 weeks pregnant)
Feel your baby kick
If you haven't already felt your baby kick, you probably will in the next four weeks.

July 5, 2012 (19 weeks pregnant)
Your baby hears sounds
Your baby should be able to hear your voice now, so don't hesitate to talk, sing, or read aloud.

August 30, 2012 (27 weeks pregnant)
Your baby can breathe
Your baby's lungs are still immature but could function (with a lot of medical help) if your baby were born now.

October 4, 2012 (32 weeks pregnant)
Your baby has fingernails and toenails
They're awfully tiny, but your baby has bona fide fingernails and toenails by now.

November 8, 2012 (37 weeks pregnant)
Your baby is full-term
Your baby is ready for life outside the womb but will probably stay in there for a bit longer, gaining weight.

November 29, 2012 (40 weeks pregnant)
Your baby's due
Few women actually deliver on their due date. You're more likely to go into labor within a week or two before or after.
