Same Questionnaire, Round Two


I just spend a little time re-reading the blogs I had written during our last round of IVF (yep, really putting off that housework) and found this questionnaire I had done last time. I thought it was time to be filled out again for round two!

Protocol (meds taken): Short protocol; Follistim, Menopur, Cetrotide, and Progesterone
How many follicles at ER: 14
How many eggs retrieved: 11
How many eggs fertilized: 8
How many days between ER and ET: 3 days
How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: One 6-cell with 5% fragmentation and one 8-cell with 10% fragmentation... six other embryos did not make it to freezing
Symptoms or issues during 2WW: Fatigue, sore breasts, cravings, and achy back
What day you got your BFP: N/A

1dpt... Embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt... Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt... Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt... Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt... Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt... Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells & fetal cells
*8dpt... Placenta cells begin to secrete HCG in the blood (TODAY)
9dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt... HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

  • 17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
  • 25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml
